| Samsung Aerospace Industries (SSA) was established in 1977 as a Samsung Group affiliate. Since SSA became Korea’s first company to begin overhauling aircraft engines in 1979, the company has produced engines for a variety of aircraft as well as for helicopters, ships and ground vehicles. Combined experience and technology based on aero gas turbines engines has made SSA highly qualified in industrial gas turbines and turbo machinery. SSA successfully developed its high performance turbo compressors by applying the latest technology in Korea. In addition to the aero engine business, SSA is the largest aircraft manufacturer in Korea. In May 1995 Korea’s first domestically made F-16 rolled off the production line, Samsung will continue delivering these aircraft to the Korean military. We are now in the development stage of a supersonic advanced trainer and attack aircraft project which includes the development of sophisticated avionics equipment, including a flight control system and sub-systems required for modern defense activities. Based on the high technology associated with the aircraft industry, we have steadily expanded our technology base which allowed us to diversify into satellites, precision instruments, factory automation and turbo machinery. The Turbo Master, developed using our own technology based on years of experience in aircraft engines, is now ready to meet all of your requirements. Samsung Aerospace will continue to expand product lines utilizing the technologies. |
