4 T1 ]5 o$ c, R# }5 x· Suppliers: Develops a qualified low cost and strategically located supply base to support current
/ c: N' s( V/ }: D! \& ^and anticipated material requirements. Assumes responsibility for supplier selection, price and
terms negotiated, and supplier performance for all assigned commodities.
· Costs: Establishes an aggressive cost reduction program for each commodity and works in
# c" K; `) [  V' }# M4 N; f4 u" Vconjunction with the operating plants to assure timely implementation. Supports cost estimating
with pricing, sourcing, and material planning information necessary to ensure successful
' X, j9 Y' k; b1 c% @9 Q1 ~introduction of new business
· Strategize: Establishes commodity strategies which may include global relationship and travel.
· Contracts: Negotiate long-term supply contracts for high value commodities, which require
% i' I' i- b: @( r4 Itechnical evaluation.

developing programs to improve overall supplier quality, delivery, and service.
