Purpose of the Job A. Sales Engineer Role (for downstream Fine Chemical & Pharma markets) 1. To take primary responsibility for sales of dry vacuum pumps and liquid ring & @! u0 K: i# I9 E1 v: a" D7 | vacuum pumps to downstream fine chemical & pharma customers in China. 2. To research potential customers, make introductory promotion visits, carry out technical & commercial negotiations. & ^8 r' Y; n5 `. V, e 3. # W. d2 y  B" nTo motivate and support appointed distributor(s) to achieve set budget targets. B. Applications Engineering Role 2 z/ j; _* h' i, l4. 6 h( l+ Y, G* p9 _3 Z/ iTo provide technical, product and applications self support and to customers and distributors for primarily dry vacuum pump and liquid ring vacuum pump systems, but also other process vacuum systems. 7 f/ S, G8 S+ b; R+ N0 O5. To select vacuum pumps and propose system design for chemical process vacuum pumping applications. * v' l9 T7 ~+ ^6. To provide technically correct & commercially valid quotations. Knowledge, Skills and Experience 1. 9 Z( ^2 e2 J9 t" i, M6 v$ dA degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 2. & `( t7 ?( @$ M3 d3 k+ }+ U6 U' pDetailed knowledge of vacuum pumping systems, chemical processes or rotating machinery and their applications gained through at least 3 years experience of a similar role.   i% P" y& @6 I0 X+ W0 d3 p4 Q% a 3. 2 g; D- r6 J, J; vThe ability to specify and design a vacuum pump package to meet a given set of process conditions. 7 v2 C7 X8 T/ b2 a 4. Analytical techniques and computer literacy. 5. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin & English are essential. 6.
