<p>Area of work:</p>
<p>The procurement manager/purchasing engineer will work as a part of the local project team in our Shanghai office and will be the direct link between our project managers and the sub-supplier. He will work in a team of 3-5 people, whereas his responsibility will be the inquiry, evaluation and order placement for major accessories for compressor plants, such as:</p>

7 s3 R$ K1 Y4 o) N3 ~8 H<li>electrical motors (asynchronous and synchronous type, explosion proof, power consumptions up to 2.5 MW)</li>
" Y1 Q6 J1 O& a, x; V<li>pressure vessels (acc. GB-150 and ASME requirements)</li>
<li>tubular shell and tube heat exchangers (acc. GB-151, TEMA code and ASME requirements)</li>
/ X6 ?5 y8 `! x2 v<li>piping material (acc. ASME B31.3)</li>
<li>valves (pressure safety valves acc. API526 std., gate, globe, ball, check etc. – acc. ANSI/ASME requirements)</li>

<p>His working process is defined by our internal process descriptions, an included part of our ISO9001 quality management system.</p>
<p>From order placement till arrival of goods on site, he takes over the responsibility for the successful delivery of the components in terms of quality and commercial success of the project, also with respect to the boundary conditions given by the contractual terms with our clients.</p>
3 R  d. m- V5 q- d# _3 E<p>In his responsibility, he will have to monitor and expedite our sub-suppliers frequently during the manufacturing process, together with our quality engineers and 3rd party inspectors. Close cooperation with the specialists from our Swiss head office will be required as well as inspection meeting with international customers. In his daily work surrounding, he will closely cooperate with his colleagues and superiors from Switzerland/EU and other parts of the world - therefore excellent English is a must!</p>
<p>For our future activities, he will be constantly analyzing the market and possibilities for enlargement and improvement of our procurement.</p>

<li>Technical background in mechanical engineering, preferably plant engineering and construction is mandatory! Good knowledge of pressure vessel design and manufacturing (welding) will be required. Basic international standards and codes for process equipment such as piping, valves, pumps and motors must be known (GB, API, ANSI/AMSE, ISO).</li>
<li>Commercial oriented education (business economics, MBA) is appreciated.</li>
" `5 V' w( y1 }8 \<li>Very good skills in common office software are mandatory (MS Office products: MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS Powerpoint, MS Project).</li>
<li>Technical and commercial negotiation skills are a must!</li>
<li>Intercultural communication experiences are requested (third language – preferably German - appreciated).</li>
