ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Suppliers: Develops a qualified low cost and strategically located supply base to support current
" r5 v* r5 R7 sand anticipated material requirements. Assumes responsibility for supplier selection, price and
terms negotiated, and supplier performance for all assigned commodities.
· Costs: Establishes an aggressive cost reduction program for each commodity and works in
conjunction with the operating plants to assure timely implementation. Supports cost estimating
9 ?7 B5 f+ R, f4 x# fwith pricing, sourcing, and material planning information necessary to ensure successful
  C4 _+ C* i6 p1 ~0 lintroduction of new business
& n" t- S% J! l1 Z( k5 \· Strategize: Establishes commodity strategies which may include global relationship and travel.
· Contracts: Negotiate long-term supply contracts for high value commodities, which require
technical evaluation.
· Quality: Collaborates with supplier quality assurance, the operating plants, and suppliers in
; v: I! Y+ P: {developing programs to improve overall supplier quality, delivery, and service.
· Management: Develops and maintains a competent work force through recruitment, training,

· Other responsibilities as assigned or required.
