Purpose of the Job A. Sales Engineer Role (for downstream Fine Chemical & Pharma markets) 1. & k. O9 v2 H- o* v1 n' eTo take primary responsibility for sales of dry vacuum pumps and liquid ring vacuum pumps to downstream fine chemical & pharma customers in China. / p7 l) m7 d5 e% w" B2.   u# ~) Y6 s  PTo research potential customers, make introductory promotion visits, carry out ) T- a1 f! o' M1 b5 b: j- @5 f & L, G2 r5 ~# { technical & commercial negotiations. # d$ ^2 c+ }. Z6 F/ S 3. To motivate and support appointed distributor(s) to achieve set budget targets. B. Applications Engineering Role ; S; U% v& C5 l& ]4 g4. To provide technical, product and applications self support and to customers and distributors for primarily dry vacuum pump and liquid ring vacuum pump systems, but also other process vacuum systems. & O$ N" \1 O6 n5. " d3 k, O! t% G6 q) f7 pTo select vacuum pumps and propose system design for chemical process vacuum pumping applications. 6. To provide technically correct & commercially valid quotations. + c  y0 h( e4 z & L) }- @, R; G1 g Knowledge, Skills and Experience 9 W7 a  c: q2 V8 S- {1. A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 4 n. D2 m9 r7 h' N1 ^/ H* w 9 v3 q# M9 \& d) P- W2. Detailed knowledge of vacuum pumping systems, chemical processes or rotating machinery and their applications gained through at least 3 years experience of a similar role. 1 R5 v' J: ~4 ^- I! R 3. The ability to specify and design a vacuum pump package to meet a given set of process conditions. & ?/ x6 K* R) I  t 4. Analytical techniques and computer literacy. % |  ]+ t& K' M% M" d7 f.
