Job description:

5 z' x% a. T1 S6 ^4 G: p5 t5 f-Vendor information research, RFI, RFQ, Quotation
-SESPA, risk assessment (Technical, SHEQ)
3 w# p0 \9 Z6 y% J. M-Verify and correct engineering specifications with support from UK technical
; @, E" E& j( b" O" ^, m-Develop manufacturing methodology & quality assurance plans
5 t& a3 ?7 q8 p+ T7 B-Drive sampling programs
$ R' w- d. ^$ ]: A' x1 Y-Develop packing specifications
-CAR investigation and Close-out
0 w& v4 d1 c: a* m1 h% _-Support supply from China smoothly into production
-Manage commercial relationships with suppliers in China
-Negotiate with supplier for set up the buffer stock and material inventory if request
" G/ l& q8 z4 e" N" b-Negotiate with China suppliers for price, supply terms to meet requirement

Knowledge Skills & Experience Required:
8 H) j) Z: c0 C" h6 M1 a1 X6 C% |- ]-University/College degree in commercial or engineering discipline
-Sourcing professional with a minimum of 3 years experience in the sourcing function.
# n/ k5 M+ b. W- O0 N( g-Has very strong experience for sourcing machining and iron casting suppliers.
( i. {7 E6 p+ U-Clear knowledge of world-class supply chain processes and techniques
; N, ^" _0 o7 c# @+ o9 a% `9 I. s-Strong experience of Manufacturing, technical knowledge and quality control
& s, j) f. M6 n' w* E-Strong experience in managing suppliers both commercially and operationally
-Capable of networking and influencing purchasing strategy across functions
-Search, identify, evaluate & select suppliers to satisfy requirements
-Negotiate prices and terms of supply with suppliers
% z% Z  n$ w: f! a% h) v-Develop and maintain strong working relationship between potential and existing --suppliers
-Drive cost and lead-time reduction programs while improving supplier quality and delivery performance
-Ensure quality assurance systems are set up and maintained to assure the quality of goods supplied from China
8 \) m6 n/ C  B4 S-Well organised personally with good communication and interpersonal skills.
