Job description:
-To identify, audit and select new suppliers in China
-Vendor information research, RFI, RFQ, Quotation
0 g/ H5 A- O! w4 Q7 X-SESPA, risk assessment (Technical, SHEQ)
-Verify and correct engineering specifications with support from UK technical
) h4 q3 |5 Q: o$ d7 v1 a# r-Develop manufacturing methodology & quality assurance plans
# T4 q6 X9 A4 l' p( `6 D, b  J-Drive sampling programs
! n% V" |% M- d" n-Develop packing specifications
/ R+ ^) ^; x" H# A& L( T( @-CAR investigation and Close-out
7 e0 e) |2 q" s, a! F-Support supply from China smoothly into production
" s( s8 v$ E+ X. a( X+ U0 W  W-Manage commercial relationships with suppliers in China
: m$ r/ @- j3 O) j. u; x. O-Negotiate with supplier for set up the buffer stock and material inventory if request
. i; o& H" w# _-Negotiate with China suppliers for price, supply terms to meet requirement

Knowledge Skills & Experience Required:
$ b% l" ~5 J# m-University/College degree in commercial or engineering discipline
) ^. j7 Z/ K/ J  q( j7 x  k' Y' d-Sourcing professional with a minimum of 3 years experience in the sourcing function.
5 d3 U/ C/ v! j$ o7 h( X9 j4 ^6 s-Has very strong experience for sourcing machining and iron casting suppliers.
' c+ z. h9 m/ _" q1 X$ Y-Clear knowledge of world-class supply chain processes and techniques
1 g& F% Q6 M0 J-Strong experience of Manufacturing, technical knowledge and quality control
-Strong experience in managing suppliers both commercially and operationally
( @; K' b) F+ V7 J8 Y6 a0 M9 l-Capable of networking and influencing purchasing strategy across functions
. q# N. V7 o( b$ o. B- h5 B9 q-Search, identify, evaluate & select suppliers to satisfy requirements
-Negotiate prices and terms of supply with suppliers
7 c, L( p" M3 h1 G1 a+ q2 [: R-Develop and maintain strong working relationship between potential and existing --suppliers
-Drive cost and lead-time reduction programs while improving supplier quality and delivery performance
-Ensure quality assurance systems are set up and maintained to assure the quality of goods supplied from China
-Well organised personally with good communication and interpersonal skills.
