Job description:
1 A: D" i# h8 C, Q3 d) s-To identify, audit and select new suppliers in China
9 {0 \% u& q$ z* c  G/ u! G-Vendor information research, RFI, RFQ, Quotation
8 l" _( R7 @6 ?. j2 W-SESPA, risk assessment (Technical, SHEQ)
- o; c( _  {5 E- }4 b0 Y-Verify and correct engineering specifications with support from UK technical
-Develop manufacturing methodology & quality assurance plans
-Drive sampling programs
  d0 g/ b0 T: X+ I4 Y* w& J4 u1 X5 ?1 Q-Develop packing specifications
; `4 u5 q0 n. ]. l. d8 j% G-CAR investigation and Close-out
-Support supply from China smoothly into production
0 {5 q% c8 a" c6 X/ s-Manage commercial relationships with suppliers in China
! J& {4 E$ b; J$ J  v" M+ B. y) ^; t-Negotiate with supplier for set up the buffer stock and material inventory if request
  X, g8 |  v7 Y) G+ I: r-Negotiate with China suppliers for price, supply terms to meet requirement

, V1 v# [) y' X& i) }" HKnowledge Skills & Experience Required:
-University/College degree in commercial or engineering discipline
8 H/ N5 j! p, a1 t-Sourcing professional with a minimum of 3 years experience in the sourcing function.
# u* {9 c6 S* v3 G% h9 I$ _-Has very strong experience for sourcing machining and iron casting suppliers.
-Clear knowledge of world-class supply chain processes and techniques
-Strong experience of Manufacturing, technical knowledge and quality control
, {0 a# ^; n4 o  y2 Q% ~-Strong experience in managing suppliers both commercially and operationally
1 N% e! K9 ^, L5 T-Capable of networking and influencing purchasing strategy across functions
-Search, identify, evaluate & select suppliers to satisfy requirements
-Negotiate prices and terms of supply with suppliers
/ j% Z% I; u2 g0 i" `) o-Develop and maintain strong working relationship between potential and existing --suppliers
-Drive cost and lead-time reduction programs while improving supplier quality and delivery performance
: k, M4 w! d) q6 |) G8 [-Ensure quality assurance systems are set up and maintained to assure the quality of goods supplied from China
-Well organised personally with good communication and interpersonal skills.
