ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

and anticipated material requirements. Assumes responsibility for supplier selection, price and
, U5 b. e) p0 f8 @: j! ^4 Oterms negotiated, and supplier performance for all assigned commodities.
· Costs: Establishes an aggressive cost reduction program for each commodity and works in
conjunction with the operating plants to assure timely implementation. Supports cost estimating
+ n, c2 l1 Y& I& f$ m5 L+ zwith pricing, sourcing, and material planning information necessary to ensure successful
1 e. D% w% Z; bintroduction of new business
3 w1 a! B, W' U· Strategize: Establishes commodity strategies which may include global relationship and travel.
1 J6 {/ M/ n3 m, F· Contracts: Negotiate long-term supply contracts for high value commodities, which require
technical evaluation.
+ g7 R! d' m* n% z+ R% v% ^· Quality: Collaborates with supplier quality assurance, the operating plants, and suppliers in
' \1 Y9 ~6 g5 ~( y# v0 l" ^developing programs to improve overall supplier quality, delivery, and service.
/ H' f6 [1 v" J- h6 c. ]· Management: Develops and maintains a competent work force through recruitment, training,
coaching and establishing goals and objectives.
