Job description:
& t% p4 D6 o1 D5 f-To identify, audit and select new suppliers in China
-Vendor information research, RFI, RFQ, Quotation
-SESPA, risk assessment (Technical, SHEQ)
-Verify and correct engineering specifications with support from UK technical
  h5 U' C. U- P-Develop manufacturing methodology & quality assurance plans
-Drive sampling programs
-Develop packing specifications
) G  V$ W1 F& H+ I-CAR investigation and Close-out
-Support supply from China smoothly into production
2 `8 w; O9 k  J, E6 {4 `-Manage commercial relationships with suppliers in China
-Negotiate with supplier for set up the buffer stock and material inventory if request
' b/ O- T5 O2 d4 L6 i; F-Negotiate with China suppliers for price, supply terms to meet requirement

2 h& O, I1 v& OKnowledge Skills & Experience Required:
7 t% H3 n3 Q* B-University/College degree in commercial or engineering discipline
-Sourcing professional with a minimum of 3 years experience in the sourcing function.
# k  E3 ~% g+ H) e-Has very strong experience for sourcing machining and iron casting suppliers.
-Clear knowledge of world-class supply chain processes and techniques
, z6 a/ h# i4 I-Strong experience of Manufacturing, technical knowledge and quality control
0 F- ]! R+ \( q-Strong experience in managing suppliers both commercially and operationally
  @1 `+ F0 u' @- h9 q( W9 U-Capable of networking and influencing purchasing strategy across functions
; P: `4 u( T8 T3 x6 a$ D1 I-Search, identify, evaluate & select suppliers to satisfy requirements
" M) N: l! x+ r8 R-Negotiate prices and terms of supply with suppliers
-Develop and maintain strong working relationship between potential and existing --suppliers
& q- W* B+ n1 i. H$ R-Drive cost and lead-time reduction programs while improving supplier quality and delivery performance
-Ensure quality assurance systems are set up and maintained to assure the quality of goods supplied from China
& b0 _* @& z2 [0 ?5 g, K! ^-Well organised personally with good communication and interpersonal skills.
