ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
5 {  D5 C3 ^+ W4 h5 g2 M· Suppliers: Develops a qualified low cost and strategically located supply base to support current
and anticipated material requirements. Assumes responsibility for supplier selection, price and
  k7 B  ]- d- iterms negotiated, and supplier performance for all assigned commodities.
  ~" C7 C& |2 ?· Costs: Establishes an aggressive cost reduction program for each commodity and works in
  d) i6 J9 {4 @conjunction with the operating plants to assure timely implementation. Supports cost estimating
with pricing, sourcing, and material planning information necessary to ensure successful
introduction of new business
· Strategize: Establishes commodity strategies which may include global relationship and travel.
* m  w. h* M& \1 u" }· Contracts: Negotiate long-term supply contracts for high value commodities, which require
) c9 e( S0 S# Xtechnical evaluation.
4 Z9 J. u5 c/ w% v) C7 c0 Y& m) m· Quality: Collaborates with supplier quality assurance, the operating plants, and suppliers in
' @: W) ^6 V$ Q0 t- B3 d2 s, Kdeveloping programs to improve overall supplier quality, delivery, and service.
  M5 C* v4 h1 \( o) ^· Management: Develops and maintains a competent work force through recruitment, training,
$ ?+ |$ q6 y! P& E' b. ?, p3 wcoaching and establishing goals and objectives.
