ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Suppliers: Develops a qualified low cost and strategically located supply base to support current
! U' m- z; @+ f4 S) \+ ^and anticipated material requirements. Assumes responsibility for supplier selection, price and
  r3 [6 b4 B8 C& w, sterms negotiated, and supplier performance for all assigned commodities.
0 H9 }9 F1 o' D# s. o$ D) G0 C· Costs: Establishes an aggressive cost reduction program for each commodity and works in
conjunction with the operating plants to assure timely implementation. Supports cost estimating
. I8 r$ M* L7 O& K) owith pricing, sourcing, and material planning information necessary to ensure successful
introduction of new business
· Strategize: Establishes commodity strategies which may include global relationship and travel.
· Contracts: Negotiate long-term supply contracts for high value commodities, which require
technical evaluation.
% _8 {$ u* s. n9 T1 U! N4 S7 n6 S8 ^· Quality: Collaborates with supplier quality assurance, the operating plants, and suppliers in
1 L: ~$ K* O$ s: M/ w7 Cdeveloping programs to improve overall supplier quality, delivery, and service.
9 B  z% e5 ~. G: [: p/ a· Management: Develops and maintains a competent work force through recruitment, training,
coaching and establishing goals and objectives.
· Other responsibilities as assigned or required.
